De-Grease.

One of the other great side effects of the Spironolactone – and one that mostly balances out the excessive sweating I’m doing at this very moment – is my unspeakably NORMAL skin. It’s not oily, it’s not overly dry, it’s.. .normal. I’ve never had normal skin. Ever.

In addition, my scalp is no longer oily which means I can buy regular ol’ shampoo. The scattering of pimples on my shoulders/back have disappeared. The tiny zits along my jawline are gone. I still don’t have beautiful skin by anyone’s definition, but it looks GOOD and, when combined with my obsessive-love for the Bare Escentuals mineral foundation? I look like an adult instead of a going-through-puberty-painfully teenager.

This is a sweet deal.

And what is that drug for again?? Cause I have that excessive sweating thing going on all the time! Like I have to make sure my clothes are a certain tone, and have patterns, in case I decide to sweat up a storm and soak through my clothes. It’s horrible. I can’t ever wear t-shirts you see most girls wearing, because my sweat will show. Egh.

I had zits as a teen and zits in my 20s. I certainly thought I would get a few years of pimple-free skin BEFORE wrinkles started to set in. Nope. I now have little crinkles around my eyes, the skin under my chin is starting to sag… AND I still get pimples. What are ya gonna do? K

I know what you mean Kelly. Ugh. I’m consulting with my first.ever.dermatologist two days before my thirty-first birthday (had to wait five months for an appt). I can’t wait. I’m expecting a prescription for Accutane but I’ve never heard of this Spironolactone before! Any nasty side effects?
