Just A Touch.

Perhaps autumn really is planning to visit this year?

I’ve been secretly fearing that we’d go straight from the 30C weather into the -10C weather – from heat and humidity to blizzards – with no chance for me to revel in the cool, crisp fall air on my t-shirt’d arms.

Today I’ll be sure to spend some time outdoors, breathing as deeply as I can, in appreciation.

My cold is still here, making that deep-breathing thing pretty difficult, but I think I’m actually starting to feel a bit better. There’s no longer a constant pounding in my snot-filled head and that makes a HUGE difference in my overall attitude – headaches and migraines suck away my will to live far more than snot could ever dream.

Every ounce of my being is currently focused on Friday at 9 a.m., of course, so feeling a bit better means I’ll abuse that bit of health by painting downstairs and otherwise getting some tasks completed around the house.

I know, I know, updates about renovations and snot don’t make for the most compelling reading. You’re just going to have to humour me for a few more days and then we can go back to.. whatever it is that I normally write about around here.

Have a great Hump Day, ok? And wash your hands! It helps prevent the spread of cooties.

Glad you’re feeling better. And glad you are not spreading your cooties.

Two years ago when I visited Toronto…
    Arrival (in December): 16C
Next morning: -3, snow on the ground.

And that’s pretty much how I remember Ontario weather.
