Grace In Small Things – 56/365

  1. Oldest One and his BFF have been playing WoW for, oh, about eighty hours straight.
  2. Maymo went outside to play in the yard and came inside to tell me how BEAUTIFUL it is out there. “I think maybe it is now SPRING!” he noted.
  3. I actually got a chance to lounge on my bed and read an entire book today. THAT rocked.
  4. It is 4:20 (heh) and my husband is usually on his way home by around 5:40-6pm, which means we are getting closer and closer to the time when he’ll be arriving home. YAY!
  5. I accomplished absolutely nothing on my to-do list. I believe that’s allowed due to it being March Break.

Ok, so the kids are all home, and you have MORE time to yourself? How does THAT happen??

That’s easy to explain: I didn’t have to take anyone to school or pick them up from school. I didn’t have to focus on the clock to make sure I wasn’t caught off-guard when 3:30 arrived (the time 2 kids usually get home during the week). There was no homework to deal with, no after-school tutoring, and there are no Scouting-related activities at all this week. No driving, no clock-watching, no worries!

Oldest One had his friend over to occupy him completely and utterly.

Maymo was giddy about having the whole dining room table on which to draw, colour and otherwise create things. Then he went outside to explore the backyard for a bit and enjoy the sunshine.

Middle One was outside in the fresh air for most of the day since the weather was lovely. He was also playing a bit of xbox (because Oldest One wasn’t) and building some Lego sculptures.

And I read a book and relaxed!

      It was awesome!

Does this mean we don’t have to pray for Mojo?

NO! You must continue to pray for Mojo. Yesterday was great but today is already shaping up a little lopsided.. :)

Not to be a home-school-pusher (because I am not – this is not an easy life)….but you have captured why homeschooling can work well. There are no “have tos”, no fights to get out the door, no trying to re-teach what was learnt all day, no homework….

And, if all days were like yesterday, THAT would rock. :)

Accomplishing nothing on your to-do list is not only allowed, it’s encouraged.

I LOVE days when I do nothing from my to-do list.

That was our day yesterday! It was wonderful.
