Rats and tumours! It’s pretty much the reason I haven’t signed up for more rat parenting. Three years is a long life for a rat. I hope you can focus on what a wonderful life you gave her and all of them with that awesome multi-level rat condo, yogurt drops and lots of love. Bye, Tasha, sweetie.

It’s always hard to lose a pet. I had to put a rat down for the same reason, it got to the point where she was having mobility trouble. 17 years later I’m still angry at the vets for plopping her flat on her back in the shoebox once she was gone, would it have been that difficult to lay her on her stomach?

Rats dying SUCKS.

I still miss mine – I brought a piece of waffle upstairs for him. He wasn’t there.

Call me if you need to sob hysterically on the phone to a blog-friend. (or maybe that is just how I dealt with it…)
