Oh, Beagie.

Earlier this morning I gave the dogs rawhide chewy things. They hunkered down on the living room floor and commenced gnawing with great glee.

Zooey, the beagle, tends to get very protective and snarly about her snacks. In order to get the bone away from her, I called,”OUTSIDE!” and watched both dogs run to the door.

The beagle kept hers in her mouth. I suggested to her that she might not want to take it outside – but she, apparently, disagreed. (Or doesn’t understand English, maybe?)

Out the door she trotted, happily, and.. promptly dropped the bone into the pond. Where it sank.

And then she went insane. Snarling and barking and howling.. at the pond. Freaking right the hell out.

Poor dog. Poor pond.

Pond is too deep and the kids destroyed the skimmer-net, so.. nope. :)

Thanks Andrew, I was too late on that one, but it’s good to know I have backup.
