I cannot possibly blog, or email, because I am obsessively hitting “refresh” on the college web site in the hopes of seeing an acceptance note.
It doesn’t help – AT ALL – that the site is having sporadic “technical issues”.
….!
The worst part of all of this is that, if I am accepted-in-part, I’ll have a tonne of work to accomplish between now and the first meeting. And the first meeting is next week.
(I say “accepted-in-part” because the first stage of acceptance is based on marks from high school / college / university. The second part involves a face-to-face meeting, a résumé, references and all the rest of it… and THEN they’ll make a final decision.)
(So, basically, I’m going to be hitting “refresh” for the next few days and then freaking out for a few days and then hitting “refresh” for a week or two..)
(I think I’m trying to tell you not to expect a lot of updating.)
(But I sometimes procrastinate by blogging. So, y’know, maybe not..)
(Just shoot me.)

Instead of hitting “refresh”, why don’t you distract yourself by backing some pre-celebratory cupcakes (or granola bars) that you can share with all your friends that are rooting for you? Just a thought.
Lemon cupcakes are yummy… especially with poppy seeds. Chocolate’s good too. Just sayin’, ya know.
