I bought a bigger battery on ebay over the summer. Most days, at school, I do absolutely fine with just that bigger one (with wifi enabled about 75% of the day, taking notes, etc.). If I know I'm going to be using wifi for much longer or will definitely need to use my laptop longer, I also bring my smaller battery along in my backpack. Power outlets are scarce in classrooms (but plentiful in the library) so it's not feasible to rely on them.
