Grace In Small Things – 340/365

  1. I painted Maymo’s fingernails alternating red-pink yesterday — he picked the colours. Then he said, “Some of the kids at school might call me a girl!” I asked him what he’d say if they did. “I’m not a girl! I just like those colours!” was his reply. :)
  2. Other than stocking stuffers, we are totally done Christmas shopping. And this is all thanks to my husband because I had absolutely nothing to do with any of it.
  3. Clean bathrooms.
  4. My husband re-stocked my Tofurkey for me. Because he loves me.
  5. The fact that I wasn’t alone in thinking Dave’s Sharpie Book was completely awesome. :)

Totally off topic (although I love the red & pink fingernails). I’ve been reading through your blog for your transition with the boys. And it’s funny how much of the emotions and thoughts sound like what we’re dealing with now. Even using the word “surreal”, and the overwhelming amount of money that welcoming new older children requires.

Did you have any food issues? Our boy loves processed food, and am having one heck of a time getting him to eat anything resembling real food.

Boy-howdy, we had food ISSUES! I’ll write up a blog post shortly and tell you all about it – suffice to say, however, that it was an epic struggle for a while, ’til I figured out a few ‘tricks’ to make it all easier. :) I promise to post soon!!!
