Grace In Small Things – 354/365

  1. I am not a single parent. I realize that if I were a single parent, I’d find a way to do it, but I’m pretty sure it would be the most miserable existence ever for the kids and myself.
  2. The entire house smells of cinnamon rolls. Our neighbour fixed a leaky spot on our chimney for us and asked only for “cinnamon rolls” and the cost of the ladder rental in return. Tonight he gets really warm cinnamon rolls!
  3. I’m on vacation! Tomorrow I have to go to school for about 20 minutes and THAT’S IT. YEAH!
  4. I am so incredibly glad that Coffee is my husband. :)
  5. Sparkly purple and blue lights on a shiny foil tree.. beautifully gaudy.

Can I say ditto to #1. Dave took Tornado Boy to an appointment on Wes and I picked up the little ones from day care (they’re in for two weeks while we adjust – they like it). 1 1/2 hours into the night, after I had been puked on twice, I called in my mom for reinforcements. Am so glad I’m not doing this alone.

As someone who does it alone, there are definitely miserable moments.

There are good times…which I cannot think of after having spent the day appalled at my child’s behaviour and complete lack of listening.

    So tired. Send help!

I cannot begin to imagine how strong you are as a human being. Seriously.
