LED.

Sylvain and Kelly have started blogging about the something-new they learn every day. To quote Sylvain, “The things that we learn, and the way that we learn them, and sometimes even from whom, are part of what makes us who we are. This exercise is intended to help me appreciate the little bits of knowledge that I have gained every day, and perhaps to recognize and appreciate the sources.”

I’m going to give this a try, too.

Once again you’ve demonstrated your secret desire to be JUST LIKE ME!!

But seriously, thanks, it’s an honour to have you try it as well.

So what’d you learn about LEDs?

Nothing to learn there for me. My piece of paper says electronics engineering, so I already have that covered.

Oh I see, sorry, LED just stands for Learning Every Day. Yes I know it also means Light Emitting Diode, but it’s the only catchy Acronym I could come up with.

Heh, well I was making a tongue-in-cheek reference to violet’s use of LED. Your (Sylvain’s) L.E.D. makes it a bit more obvious it’s an acronym other than Light Emitting Diode. I hope that’s shone some light on things.

Here’s something I always thought was interesting about LEDs: You can use an LED to detect light as well as emit.

I’m trying to remember if knew that or not. I think I did.

See, now *I* thought it was about LEDs, too.

Was hoping she started making LED throwies and would start handing them out as gifts. Hmph.
