GiST2 – 71/365

1. We made baklava today. And blueberry pound cake. Both from scratch! It took most of the day to make ‘em, but it was TOTALLY worth it. As a note, if you make baklava, it’s really unspeakably good if you add some maple extract to the honey glazing. (Related: Ooof, I am SO FULL OF FOOD.)
2. I played with my new heat gun today. Embossing is AWESOME!
3. The sunshine outside is amazing. I can’t describe how good it feels to see everything drenched in sunlight again.
4. We had a fabulous anniversary yesterday. :) Thanks for all the well-wishes!
5. Being able to use my dark humour, quietly, when I’m alone with Coffee. It makes so many things better.

LED – Today I learned that heat embossing is really quite easy, that baklava isn’t complicated to make in the slightest (but all hail the invention of phyllo pastry in the freezer section!) and that Maymo really, really, really likes baklava. :)
