- Even though he was stuck at work longer than usual, Coffee did come home. He’s good like that.
- Meatballs!
- The interview today was good. Not fabulous, not awesome, but good. And good is, sometimes, enough!
- I came home, put on my jammas, and grabbed a cold Dr. Pepper. This is how all days should close – even if it’s only 4pm.
- Loud music in my car. I feel like Dwight Schrute sometimes. Except it’s not usually Motley Crue.
I had another interview today, as I mentioned earlier, for my 2nd year field placement.
This one was completely the opposite of the first, which is amusing in and of itself, in terms of interviewer personality and job tasks and, well, pretty much everything else.
Aaaaaand, I have no idea how it went.
I feel like I answered the questions appropriately, and certainly didn’t hesitate to state my thoughts, but the interviewer was harder to read and, really, this one could be hit or miss.
Nothing scheduled for tomorrow; the next two interviews are on Wednesday. I’m still waiting to hear back from the final agency for an interview there – I finally got through to the person I’ve left messages for over the past few days. She informed me that she’s no longer the one supervising, and gave me someone else’s email address. No word from him in response to my email, so.. I’ll wait a day or two and try emailing again if I haven’t heard anything.
Phew!
I can’t imagine anyone has questions for me that they haven’t already asked in comment(s) or by email, but in case you have some pressing need to ask me a question ANONYMOUSLY, you can now do so here.
I haven’t been doing much blogging lately, have I? Huh. The good news is that I’m nearing the end of my (current) obligations – finishing up things related to my current field placement (like thank you notes) and getting things set up for my 2nd field placement (like interviews) and starting to think about plans for the summer.
Most of my plans, I admit, involve the words “jamma pants” and “nap” – but that might just be a reflection of my current physical and mental state. Man, I am tired.
I always have the best plans. But.. well, let’s look at how this morning went. Once the kids and Coffee had all left the house, I figured I’d spend an hour tidying up and then lounge around looking pretty ’til it was time to go for my interview.
It took me a little over an hour just to get the kitchen clean, however, because we did a big cooking extravaganza yesterday. Unload and reload the dishwasher, scrub a bunch of pots by hand, wash down the counters and the (greasy) sink. Then I needed to do a few loads of laundry (microfiber cloths, dog blankets, etc.). And then I had to vacuum since I didn’t get a chance on Friday. And eat breakfast.
And now it’s 11:04 and I still need to get things ready for my interview this afternoon, shower, and put away the laundry that was washed yesterday. Coffee’s busy at work and needs me to send an email for him.
Fill in that saying about “best laid plans” and tack the word “blog” somewhere in it.
This afternoon at 3pm EST I have another field placement interview (my 2nd!) for another agency at which I (think) would love to work next year. If you can spare some good vibes, please send ‘em over!
(I will have 3 more interviews after this one – please start getting your fingers in shape, ok? ;)
xo
- We cooked up a LOT of food today. Some went into the freezer and some went into our bellies!
- The rain is beautiful. (But I still prefer sunshine.)
- Cleaning up a bit of my bedroom. I’ve been tossing papers and things around for a few weeks. Eeek. It’s starting to look a lot better, though.
- Clean sheets on the bed.
- Going to head off to bed early tonight. Phew.
