My Birthday Cake.

Coffee said he would make me any cake I wanted for my birthday. A few months ago I found a recipe for a “rainbow cake” with butter cream frosting. I decided that’s what I wanted and, sure enough, Coffee spent pretty much an entire day making it for me. Six cakes, each coloured and flavoured individually – then enough frosting to kill a small child to hold it all together.

It was SO good. But now I am ready to lie down and beg for mercy.

You can probably understand why we didn’t want to make, and eat, this after sushi yesterday.

A simple, white-frosted cake..

But each slice is gorgeous!

It couldn't be prettier. It just couldn't.

It tastes as good as it looks!

The last few bites of a slice...Nom.

Seriously, how AWESOME is that cake??

The top of the head of a kid peeking out over that cake is priceless. Your husband certainly does love you if he made you that. Wow!

I remember when you originally posted about that recipe and was just waiting for someone’s birthday to make it. I ended up making the cake in May for a good friend’s birthday and it was definitely a hit! And super tasty… I’m drooling all over again! But the question is, do any of the boys now want this cake for their birthdays?
